Evaluating the Construct Validity of the Charité Alarm Fatigue Questionnaire using Confirmatory Factor Analysis

This could be one of the reasons why in their intervention study, Sowan et al [9] did not find that staff’s alarm fatigue improved despite having managed to significantly reduce the number of alarms on their ICU. Therefore, we recently developed the Charité Alarm Fatigue Questionnaire (CAFQa), which is a 9-item questionnaire that measures alarm fatigue in nurses and physicians [10].
