Using Multimodal Assessments to Capture Personalized Contexts of College Student Well-being in 2020: Case Study

The Samsung smartwatch tracks several user activities and physiological variables 24/7 (for more details on how these devices were used for our study, see Yunusova et al [72]). We were able to use the watch to assess participants’ heart rate variability (root mean square of successive differences between normal heartbeats [RMSSD]) and beats per minute (BPM) during diurnal periods (RMSSD and day BPM), and during the entire 24-hour period (RMSSD and resting BPM).
