Participants were asked to create a plan to complete the 6 MWT on a familiar route at a designated date and time, with support from a friend or family member when possible [17].
Depending on the study protocol and population, the best practice may be the synchronous completion of measures (ie, in which a study team member administers the assessment to the participant in real time).

We previously found evidence for feasibility, acceptability, and satisfaction for TOR in a pilot feasibility randomized controlled trial (RCT) conducted at a single orthopedic trauma center [26]. Despite these positive outcomes, our pilot RCT revealed several methodological weaknesses that needed to be addressed before a hybrid efficacy-effectiveness trial.

There is a need to develop a practical process for collecting and integrating e PROs to improve patient care within the VHA [20-22].
This study aimed to (1) determine a practical process for collecting and integrating e PROs using SM and a web-based survey platform and (2) conduct analyses of pilot survey data using repeated measures to estimate the effects of CIH on patient outcomes. This paper provides lessons learned from the implementation of e PRO survey methods within the VA.
