The Strategies for Quantitative and Qualitative Remote Data Collection: Lessons From the COVID-19 Pandemic

The Strategies for Quantitative and Qualitative Remote Data Collection: Lessons From the COVID-19 Pandemic

Participants were asked to create a plan to complete the 6 MWT on a familiar route at a designated date and time, with support from a friend or family member when possible [17]. Depending on the study protocol and population, the best practice may be the synchronous completion of measures (ie, in which a study team member administers the assessment to the participant in real time).

A Live Video Program to Prevent Chronic Pain and Disability in At-Risk Adults With Acute Orthopedic Injuries (Toolkit for Optimal Recovery): Protocol for a Multisite Feasibility Study

We previously found evidence for feasibility, acceptability, and satisfaction for TOR in a pilot feasibility randomized controlled trial (RCT) conducted at a single orthopedic trauma center [26]. Despite these positive outcomes, our pilot RCT revealed several methodological weaknesses that needed to be addressed before a hybrid efficacy-effectiveness trial.

Using Electronic Data Collection Platforms to Assess Complementary and Integrative Health Patient-Reported Outcomes: Feasibility Project

Using Electronic Data Collection Platforms to Assess Complementary and Integrative Health Patient-Reported Outcomes: Feasibility Project

There is a need to develop a practical process for collecting and integrating e PROs to improve patient care within the VHA [20-22]. This study aimed to (1) determine a practical process for collecting and integrating e PROs using SM and a web-based survey platform and (2) conduct analyses of pilot survey data using repeated measures to estimate the effects of CIH on patient outcomes. This paper provides lessons learned from the implementation of e PRO survey methods within the VA.
