Academic stress was assessed through the question, “How much pressure do you feel from your current academic tasks?” using a 5-point Likert scale (1=“no pressure at all,” 5=“very high pressure”). Academic satisfaction was assessed through the question, “How satisfied are you with your current academic experience?” also using a 5-point Likert scale (1=“very dissatisfied,” 5=“very satisfied”).

Perceived QOL included questions as follows: (1) How would you describe your QOL as a whole? (2) To what extent do you feel safe, given that you live alone? and (3) How is your relationship with the SAC caregivers? Questions related to expectations of the technology were as follows: (1) What are your expectations of this technology? (2) What do you think this technology can do for you? and (3) What would you like this technology to do for you?
