Project Care was designed with input from adolescents using the BEST design elements, which are as follows: B stands for brain science or psychoeducation to teach the key concept in the program, E stands for empower the adolescent by asking them to take a “helper” or “expert” perspective, S stands for saying-is-believing exercises to consolidate learning, and T stands for testimonials and lived experience accounts from valued others [37].

Bivariate associations between the variables investigated in this study were examined using Pearson correlations and independent sample 2-tailed t tests. To investigate the association of “technological skills” with willingness to participate in telemonitoring (dichotomous outcome), logistic regression analyses were used.
