Associations Among Diet, Health, Lifestyle, and Gut Microbiota Composition in the General French Population: Protocol for the Le French Gut – Le Microbiote Français Study

Quality control–validated samples are stored at –80 °C at the MGP-SAMBO BRC (Biological Resources Center), which is ISO 9001–certified and labelled GIS-IBi SA (CRB N°242), until further processing. Total fecal DNA will be extracted using an in-house automated protocol that has been developed and improved on the International Human Microbiome Standards (IHMS) standard procedures (SOP 07 [34]).

Relevant clinician-administered measures included the Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale Modified for BDD (BDD-YBOCS; [26]), Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI 7.02; [27]), and the Columbia-Suicide Severity Rating Scale (C-SSRS [28]; refer to [12] for additional measures administered). The BDD-YBOCS is the gold-standard measure of BDD symptom severity and was used to characterize the sample and track symptom severity.

Do you have a fever (temperature >38.1 °C, checked once at 1-hour intervals)? Do you have chills? Do you have pimples? Are you sweating profusely? Are you itching all over your body? Have you detected a lump under the skin or a lymph node? Have you noticed any abnormal swelling of the face or legs? Patients were assigned a score based on their symptoms as follows: 0=no problem, 1=mild problem, 2=moderate problem, and 3=severe problem.
