Effect of Whole-Body Electromyostimulation Training on Glycemic Control in People With Prediabetes: Protocol for a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial Study

Effect of Whole-Body Electromyostimulation Training on Glycemic Control in People With Prediabetes: Protocol for a Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial Study

A meta-analysis of 35 studies reported that local EMS intervention lowered fasting blood glucose (standardized mean difference 0.48, 95% CI 0.17-0.78; P=.002; I²=0%) [16]. In a recent 16-week non-RCT in the Netherlands, WB-EMS was used to reduce visceral fat in older patients with non–insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. The exercise program consisted of 20 minutes of WB-EMS twice a week, with Hb A1c measured at baseline and the end of the intervention.

Young People’s Experiences Using a Digital Mental Health Tool to Support Their Care in a Real-World Service: Lived Experience–Led Qualitative Study

The following feedback from a participant at 2 study time points illustrates this view: I want to talk more about myself, share my emotions more during the therapy. I feel Innowell will help me communicate this to [my psychiatrist]. [My psychiatrist] never talked about it [Innowell] but I'm just doing it because of this trial… but it’s not that helpful. Talking with a real person, like now, would be inherently better. It’s just a website now, so I'm just inputting the data, like on auto-mode.

I am going to walk you through one of those exercises and get feedback from you. Choice in HIV Risk: Carrying Weight Metaphor Exercise: There are many variables that play into someone being at risk for HIV. Imagine you were born with a 500 pound weight on our shoulders and another person was born with 50 pounds of weight on their shoulders and you two were in a competition. The rules of the game are simple—the last one to sit down in their chair wins. Who do you think would win? Why?

Improving HIV Prevention Among Heterosexual Men Seeking Sexually Transmitted Infection Services in Malawi: Protocol for a Type I Effectiveness-Implementation Hybrid Randomized Controlled Trial of Systems Navigator–Delivered Integrated Prevention Package (HPTN 112-NJIRA Study)

Improving HIV Prevention Among Heterosexual Men Seeking Sexually Transmitted Infection Services in Malawi: Protocol for a Type I Effectiveness-Implementation Hybrid Randomized Controlled Trial of Systems Navigator–Delivered Integrated Prevention Package (HPTN 112-NJIRA Study)

This study is a single-site, pilot type I effectiveness-implementation hybrid randomized controlled trial (RCT). The overall goal is to evaluate the benefits, acceptability, barriers, and associated costs of integrating systems navigation and brief counseling into STI clinic–based Pr EP provision for heterosexual men in Lilongwe, Malawi (Textbox 1). Two hundred eligible participants will be randomized (1:2) to SOC Pr EP services or systems navigator–assisted Pr EP care (intervention).
