A quasi-experimental study was carried out in Nepal by the BEH team to find the effectiveness of follow-up interventions, particularly counseling with the provision of information leaflets and reminders through phone calls and text messages to improve the follow-up rates in comparison to the existing standard care. The primary outcome of the study was measured by the number of children completing all 3 follow-up visits in different intervention groups.

Large-scale studies have distinct advantages in etiology research because of large sample sizes and increased statistical power, but face challenges in terms of data management and quality control. Population-based studies use a range of data collection tools with different features administered by different data collectors and at different times. Hence, research design must take into account the study needs, team skills, and implementation logistics [15].

Therefore, this dataset is adequate to answer the research questions.
Missing data analysis was conducted, and variables with more than 30% missing values were excluded to enhance model robustness. Missing data were imputed using Multivariate Imputation by Chained Equations. See Multimedia Appendix 1 for details on the percentage of missing data for each variable before imputation.

Smartphone data collection offers enhanced research and clinical care capabilities, notably with electronic patient-reported Outcomes (e PROs) [5]. Such integration aims to optimize the quality of patient care and facilitate effective communication between health care professionals and their patients.

A literature review is a systematic way of collecting studies relevant to a research topic, assessing the methodologies and results of the studies, and making recommendations for improvements if necessary [11]. In the health care domain, the implementation of literature reviews has been considered important for conducting further research and developing guidelines for clinical practice [12].

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI), a federal agency and research institute responsible for disease control and prevention in Germany, has recognized the practical benefits of this approach. At the RKI, an ED syndromic surveillance system has been established in 2020, using daily routine data from the German Emergency Department Data Registry AKTIN [2]. Currently, 58 EDs in 12 German federal states voluntarily provide data for research and surveillance purposes.

To address this gap, the Prevention of Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (PLUS) Research Consortium developed a smartphone app called “Where I Go.” The Consortium’s goal was to produce a sophisticated data collection tool to explore potential relationships between factors influencing toileting decisions and bladder health.

There is, therefore, a need for further research to explore the potential of this approach more comprehensively.

The AMC Core Team recruits, trains, and supports regional mentors, typically dietitians or managers with experience improving nutrition care in a clinical setting and connects them with hospital champions who are typically front-line clinical dietitians. The AMC Core Team supports a quarterly national community of practice to enhance mentor-champion capacity building for implementation and oversees AMC program evaluation (Figure 2).
