Analyses were conducted in R (version 4.1.3; R Project for Statistical Computing) and Stata (version 17; Stata Corp).
There were 15,284 flow sheets for the patients, aggregated to a person-year level. Of these, 35.50% (n=5426) were missing information on depression, 6635 (43.41%) were missing information on Hb A1c level or DKA events, 112 (0.73%) were missing CGM or pump use information, and none were missing covariate information (age, sex, and insurance status).

Erbe D et al [28] compared the interformat reliability of the paper-and-pen version with a computerized version of the PHQ-9 in a clinical sample and obtained comparable internal consistency between the computer (α=.88) and paper versions (α=.89), and highly significant correlations between the formats (r=0.92). The PANSS is a widely used and valid instrument for the assessment of symptom severity in schizophrenia; test-retest reliability for the total score and subscales is reported as 0.77‐0.89 [27,27].
