Among stable periods, t tests comparing the SMAPE of these 4 models (Figure 3) showed that the average SMAPE at 11.6% for multivariate TFT was significantly lower than the SMAPE for univariate TFT at 13.2% (P=.01), for VARIMA at 16.4% (P=.002), and for ARIMA at 14.8% (P=.003) of the same data. Univariate TFT also outperformed VARIMA (P=.03), while there was no significant difference between VARIMA and ARIMA.

Results of t tests (2-tailed) and χ2 tests showed no significant differences in the demographics and outcomes between the chatbot and control groups and between those who received and did not receive notifications. Table 1 summarizes the demographic characteristics of the participants.

There are certain items that authors need to report for the assessors to mark the CREATE tool. While appraising the included studies in this review, we found that many of these items had not been reported and a further inquiry with the corresponding authors was necessary to access that information. This could have been due to the lack of any guidance on reporting of Indigenous research.
