A nonsignificant small positive correlation exists between the study duration and RR (r=0.100, P=.29). This may be due to the EMA prompts becoming more integrated into the participant’s routine and their gaining familiarity with the questions and methods of responding.
Figure 3 (right) shows RR as a function of the number of questions asked at the EMA prompt, together with the fitted line.

Pearson’s correlation coefficient r (P value calculated by analysis of covariance) between changes of quality of life in subcategories physical, emotional, and social as well as the global overall score as reported by the Mac New questionnaire and the change in exercise capacity ΔPmax.
Table 4 shows results per subsection of the Intrinsic Motivation Scale (IMS) as well as the aggregated score over all 4 categories.

As we examined the sensitivity and specificity data to choose cut scores, we chose to favor sensitivity to minimize missing individuals with true disease in this sample of patients considered high risk because of their cognitive concerns. The cut scores for a positive result on the 5-Cog components were as follows: PMIS ≤6 (range 0-8), Symbol Match ≤25 (range 0-65), and s MCR >5 (range 0-7).
