Sniezek and Van Swol [52] define confidence as the belief “that a specific statement, opinion, or decision is the best possible.” When humans are confident in their own decisions, they are less likely to change it after receiving advice [23,24]. We proposed the following hypothesis, assuming that participants trust advice and incorporate it into their final decision when they are less confident in their initial decision.
