Furthermore, among the included studies, the most frequently administered interventions were CBT and mindfulness-based therapy, which are typically short-term treatments. A brief intervention or program may represent an obstacle to significant findings, considering that some biomarkers might need a longer amount of time to significantly vary, perhaps longer than a brief treatment may allow.
