Significant main effects of time were followed up with 2-tailed paired t tests to aid in the interpretation of results. We also evaluated whether participants who completed all 6 weeks of treatment significantly differed from noncompleters in terms of clinical characteristics (eg, hot flush severity). We did not expect differences; however, it is important to evaluate to determine whether premature discontinuation was driven by differences in clinical severity.
