This includes, but is not limited to, procedures such as chest tube insertion and surgical airway management, and clinical scenarios such as managing anaphylaxis, ST-elevated myocardial infarction, and cardiac arrest. A systematic review was published in 2012 to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction design features of simulation-based training interventions [20]. Given the advances in technology over the last decade and ongoing research in telesimulation, further investigation is warranted.
