The First 6 Years’ Experiences of a National Centralized Offspring Surveillance Setting for Dutch Children Prenatally Exposed to Maternal Cancer to Inform Future International Practice: Protocol for a Demographic Review of Referred Families and Key Lessons Learned

The First 6 Years’ Experiences of a National Centralized Offspring Surveillance Setting for Dutch Children Prenatally Exposed to Maternal Cancer to Inform Future International Practice: Protocol for a Demographic Review of Referred Families and Key Lessons Learned

Cancer during pregnancy is rare, occurring in 1 in 1000-2000 pregnant women [1]. However, this incidence is rising as women tend to delay childbearing [2]. Also, since the introduction of the Non-invasive Prenatal Testing program in the Netherlands (in 2018), maternal cancer, often asymptomatic, is detected incidentally, even before clinical symptoms appear [3]. Hence, cancer during pregnancy is an emerging health and societal challenge, which necessitates dedicated management for the mother and child.

Effectiveness of Walking Prescription Using Mobile Health Technology on the Changes in Daily Steps in Older Adults With Cognitive Impairment: Randomized Controlled Study

It is also suitable for older adults because it is easy to practice in daily life with few side effects. A relationship between maintaining recommended daily steps in older adults and low mortality has been reported [26].

Evaluating the User Experience and Usability of Game-Based Cognitive Assessments for Older People: Systematic Review

Evaluating the User Experience and Usability of Game-Based Cognitive Assessments for Older People: Systematic Review

To be included in this review, a GBCA must have been psychometrically validated with a sample of older users (aged ≥50 years). This validation could have occurred in the same study as the user evaluation or in a previous validation of the same game. In other words, evidence of validation was a prerequisite for inclusion in this review, but validation of the game was not necessarily required within the actual studies included in this review.

In addition, with increases in life expectancy owing to advancements in medical technology and improved health care access, the number of older patients undergoing cardiac and neurological surgeries also continues to increase [3,4]. Although postoperative prognostic monitoring has traditionally been conducted in hospital settings, the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated a shift toward outpatient treatment for prognosis, facilitated by advancements in surgical techniques and improved success rates [5].

Ingroup Favoritism Surrounding COVID-19 Vaccinations in the Hispanic Communities: Experimental Study

Ingroup Favoritism Surrounding COVID-19 Vaccinations in the Hispanic Communities: Experimental Study

Therefore, this study uses a computer-based experimental design modeled after Facebook group pages, in which we manipulate the ethnicity of individuals shown in the images (Hispanic vs non-Hispanic) and the language used in the text (Spanish vs English). First, we examine whether preferences for social media pages featuring Hispanic imagery and Spanish text differ based on participants’ self-identified ethnicity.

Feasibility and Effects of a Gait Assistance and Gait Resistance Training Program Using a Walking-Assist Wearable Robot for Community-Dwelling Older Adults: Single-Group, Pre-, and Posttest Study

Feasibility and Effects of a Gait Assistance and Gait Resistance Training Program Using a Walking-Assist Wearable Robot for Community-Dwelling Older Adults: Single-Group, Pre-, and Posttest Study

Global life expectancy has gradually increased from 66.8 years in 2000 to 73.4 years in 2019, although health-adjusted life expectancy (HALE) was only 63.7 years in 2019 (86.3% of life expectancy) [1]. In other words, HALE significantly lags behind life expectancy, with an increase in HALE (5.4 y) failing to keep up with the increase in life expectancy (6.6 y). This implies that people are experiencing prolonged periods of poor health in their older years.

A Rent Subsidy and Identity Capital Intervention for Youth Exiting Homelessness: Protocol for the Transitioning Youth Out of Homelessness 2.0 Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

A Rent Subsidy and Identity Capital Intervention for Youth Exiting Homelessness: Protocol for the Transitioning Youth Out of Homelessness 2.0 Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

There was only one published study of a randomized intervention offering rent subsidies in the systematic review. This was a secondary analysis of youth (age 18-24 years) in the Canadian study of Housing First in adults (At Home/Chez Soi); there was no systematic adaptation of the intervention for youth.

A Risk Prediction Model (CMC-AKIX) for Postoperative Acute Kidney Injury Using Machine Learning: Algorithm Development and Validation

A Risk Prediction Model (CMC-AKIX) for Postoperative Acute Kidney Injury Using Machine Learning: Algorithm Development and Validation

Acute kidney injury (AKI) represents a critical challenge in postoperative care, significantly affecting patient outcomes and health care systems. It is a common complication that affects up to 5% to 7.5% of all hospitalized patients, with a markedly higher prevalence of 20% in intensive care units [1]. Among all AKI in hospitalized patients, 40% occur in postoperative patients [1].
