The delay and reluctance of services and clinicians to integrate DMHTs in care was seen as a sign that the healthcare system needs to adapt to young people’s needs and views. On a broader level, participants viewed their involvement in the trial as an opportunity to create meaningful change in mental healthcare delivery, benefiting future help-seeking young people.
