Safety in Teletriage by Nurses and Physicians in the United States and Israel: Narrative Review and Qualitative Study

Safety in Teletriage by Nurses and Physicians in the United States and Israel: Narrative Review and Qualitative Study

Wheeler et al [8] defined teletriage as the complex process of remotely assessing acute, worrisome symptoms to estimate their urgency and to render clinical advice and triage for further evaluation and diagnosis, as appropriate. The goal is to ensure the safe, timely, and appropriate disposition of patient symptoms remotely. This service is accomplished with remote encounters by telephone or real-time video (including biotelemetry).
