Youth mental health is a significant concern in Hong Kong. Studies have reported that the prevalence of depression and anxiety among adolescents is approximately 11.3% locally [1]. Loneliness is also widespread among young people in Hong Kong, occurring at a higher rate than that reported for their counterparts in North America [2]. Around 39% of young people in Hong Kong reported feeling lonely—an increase of 55% from 2012 to 2018 [3].

Comparisons of sociodemographic, lifestyle, and health characteristics between groups were conducted using independent 2-sample t tests for continuous variables and chi-square tests for categorical variables. This study used a multinomial logistic regression model to estimate relative risk (RR) and 95% CIs to assess the association between baseline internet use and baseline sleep health, and its relationship with sleep status after 3 years.

Acoustic Features for Identifying Suicide Risk in Crisis Hotline Callers: Machine Learning Approach
We first conducted chi-square tests to examine whether the gender and age range ratios differed in high and low suicide risk conditions.
Demographic characteristics (sex and age) of the callers with suicide-related expression segments included in this study (N=273).
A significant association was observed between gender and risk category (χ21=6.1; P=.01). The low-risk group showed higher female representation, while the high-risk group had a balanced gender ratio.
