Some studies have noted that certain populations, particularly young, healthy adults, often disregard the VR illusions, undermining the intended perturbation effects [41].
It is apparent that the perturbation effect and immersive user experience should go hand in hand for a successful VR illusion–based balance rehabilitation intervention. Thus, in this study, we aimed to advance the understanding of how VR illusions impact standing balance and immersive user experience.

Another study found that SM young adults who were raised in highly stigmatizing environments demonstrated a blunted cortisol response to a social stressor [12].
In addition to limited studies linking minority stress processes to individual markers of stress physiology, research has revealed that SMs, compared to heterosexuals, demonstrate different stress physiology patterns. For example, Juster et al [13] showed that SM men had a lower allostatic load (AL) than heterosexual men.

Another study found that children and adolescents engaged in spiritual/emotional activities; cognitive/social activities with family at home; exercise; and managing healthy sleep [14].

March had the highest number of posts (n=3686), followed by April (n=3094) (Figure 2). This rise in March’s posts was primarily due to Elon Musk’s announcement of “Neuralink,” his BCI company [29]. The words “Neuralink,” “Musk,” and “Elon” were collectively mentioned 5831 times in March. The number of posts in April can be attributed to the announcement of Facebook’s BCI projects, with the term “Facebook” receiving 1944 mentions [30].
