Associations Between Daily Symptoms and Pain Flares in Rheumatoid Arthritis: Case-Crossover mHealth Study

Associations Between Daily Symptoms and Pain Flares in Rheumatoid Arthritis: Case-Crossover mHealth Study

(B) Two scenarios of exclusion. Left: the onset (day 4) meets the definition, but the pain severity is at the personal median pain level, conflicting with the criterion for the end of a pain flare. Right: 2 flare onsets (days 2 and 4) meet the definition but end on the same day (day 5). The second onset (day 4) is removed to avoid double counting. In addition to identifying pain flares by their severity, we examined their residual impact in the postflare phase.

Development of a Cocreated Decision Aid for Patients With Depression—Combining Data-Driven Prediction With Patients’ and Clinicians’ Needs and Perspectives: Mixed Methods Study

Intake data included sociodemographic characteristics and medical and mental health information (for a complete list, see Section B in Multimedia Appendix 1). Treatment response was assessed using changes in Outcome Questionnaire-45 (OQ-45) scores during treatment [45,46]. We included individuals with at least 2 OQ-45 scores, at least 90 and at most 365 days apart during treatment. In cases with more than two measurements, the last score within 365 days was used (see Section C in Multimedia Appendix 1).

Higher education level was associated with more days of app use (b=3.14, 95% CI 0.50-5.78; P=.02); accessing a higher proportion of pages (b=3.27, 95% CI 0.96-5.59; P=.006) and features (b=4.33, 95% CI 1.05-7.61; P=.01); and more clicks in the modules (b=18.59, 95% CI 5.33-31.86; P=.006), as well as higher EI (b=2.61, 95% CI 1.46-3.77; P In contrast, higher working hours were associated with lower levels of engagement on 4 of the individual indicators and 1 of the composite indicators.

At-Home Evaluation of Both Wearable and Touchless Digital Health Technologies for Measuring Nocturnal Scratching in Atopic Dermatitis: Analytical Validation Study

At-Home Evaluation of Both Wearable and Touchless Digital Health Technologies for Measuring Nocturnal Scratching in Atopic Dermatitis: Analytical Validation Study

The median frequency and duration of nighttime scratching increase with AD disease severity from HVs (2.4 bouts per hour, 13.1 seconds per hour) to mild AD (3.51 bouts per hour, 17.4 seconds per hour) to moderate AD (4.64 bouts per hour, 30.0 seconds per hour); however, the ranges are highly overlapping between all 3 cohorts (Figures 2 A and B). Scratching was also characterized by SCORAD severity since this is a frequently used scoring system in AD.
