Wilkinson et al [15] found that a longer time to treatment in AECOPD was associated with an increase in the recovery time of exacerbation symptoms [15]. Moreover, they demonstrated that a greater number of correctly identified exacerbations treated by a physician resulted in a better HRQo L, as seen in the lower total St George’s Respiratory Questionnaire scores.
