A Brief Video-Based Intervention to Improve Digital Health Literacy for Individuals With Bipolar Disorder: Intervention Development and Results of a Single-Arm Quantitative Pilot Study

Survey completers were primarily women (n=29, 69%), White (n=31, 74%), and residing in North America (n=34, 81%), with a mean age of 38.6 (SD 12) years. Under half the sample self-reported a BD-II diagnosis (n=19, 45%), and most participants were receiving psychiatric treatment, including medication (n=38, 90%) and counseling (n=25, 60%). The majority of the sample had completed postsecondary education (n=34, 81%).

Systematic Identification of Caregivers of Patients Living With Dementia in the Electronic Health Record: Known Contacts and Natural Language Processing Cohort Study

The 789 people living with dementia were on average 84 years of age, 62% female, primarily White (80%) and 11% were Hispanic. Among the cohort, 749 (95%) of them had at least 1 caregiver name listed as a known contact (Table 1). The 1667 known contacts listed in structured fields included: emergency contact (44%), health care agent (30%), legal guardian (3%), portal proxies (5%), and close relative or friend listed in the general patient contacts table (97%).
