The genuine empathy, compassion and lived experience of the DN made participants feel that the DN “actually care[d] about [them] using the technology as part of [their] appointments” (Participant 7, 6-month visit).

Although not statistically significant, there was a moderate difference on the total Stim Q2 READ scale between group 1 (ie, those who completed the program) and group 2 (ie, those who had not yet begun; Cohen d=0.55; P=.23). However, there were large and statistically significant differences between the groups on the quantity and quality subdomains (Cohen d=1.01; P=.04 and Cohen d=0.99; P=.02). By contrast, the between-group difference on the PVR scale was small and not statistically significant (P=.75).

Causal AI Recommendation System for Digital Mental Health: Bayesian Decision-Theoretic Analysis
For example, consider a set of variables {A,B,C,D} that have the dependency relations described by the DAG A←B→C→D, then this DAG would be consistent with the partition {{B},{A,C},{D}}. The sampling procedure was run across 8 chains and checked for convergence and resolution (Note S2 in Multimedia Appendix 1). We used the Bayesian Gaussian equivalent score to retain the ordinal information of the random variables.
Simulating outcomes given a DAG is performed by constructing a Bayesian network (BN).
