Words that are more opinion-based (eg, scary and amazing) have a higher subjectivity score, whereas words that are fact-based (eg, data and communication) have a lower subjectivity score. The threshold used in our study is a subjectivity score of 0.5. If the score is greater than or equal to 0.5, the post is labeled as “subjective,” otherwise the post is labeled as “objective.”

Initial implementation was conducted by a site champion, a first-year family medicine resident at the FHT. The PAAF was initially introduced by the site champion to attending and resident physicians through a presentation and via email. Subsequent implementation efforts throughout the course of the study period included a reminder poster in the FHT clinic team rooms about the PAAF and how to access it in OSCAR.

The MHRN model includes a comprehensive set of clinical indicators, is intended to be used at the point of encounter, and shows promising results for improved suicide risk identification among a sample of the general population. A similar identification process for incarcerated individuals, available at jail booking, could help detect those at risk for in-jail and postrelease suicide attempts and deaths.

Two authors (HM-M and JM-A) independently screened studies against the predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Studies potentially meeting the criteria were subjected to full-text screening for the final decision on inclusion in our review. Discrepancies at any stage were resolved through discussion. If consensus was not reached, a third reviewer (VM-V) made the final decision.

The NGT occurred on a secure internet platform, with transcripts stored on a password-protected laptop.
The NGT is a consensus-building technique led by a facilitator, whereby a group of 5-9 participants answer a discussion prompt and then participate in a structured brainstorming session [17,18]. The purpose of our NGT was to compile a comprehensive list of the essential steps taken to build the PECARN Twitter account.

A final visit will occur at the trial’s end (24 months). Study visits were initiated by a research assessor, that is, a member of the research team who conducted clinical assessments with participants. After that, the DN had a brief follow-up discussion (approximately 5 min) with participants to provide ongoing support and complete data collection.

Preliminary testing of MApp, a smartphone app used as part of a brief in-person intervention, indicated that PBS use reduced CU and that young adults were inclined to use a mobile app to help moderate their CU [23]. More recently, Lewis et al [31] published an RCT study protocol to evaluate a brief PBS-focused web-based and SMS intervention, although the results have yet to be published.
