Individualized Virtual Reality for Increasing Self-Compassion: Evaluation Study

A post hoc power analysis conducted using G*Power revealed that for the key comparisons of interest (whether there was any significant change in self‑compassion and depression upon completion of session 1 relative to baseline and upon completion of session 2 relative to baseline), our within-participants design with 23 participants still had sufficient power (>0.80) to detect a moderate to large effect difference (Cohen d=0.65) at Cronbach α=.05 (2 tailed), for each of these comparisons.
