Patients and HCPs should be informed about the comprehensive coverage offered by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana public health insurance program in India, including DRS and treatment. This ensures adequate access to necessary services through insurance benefits [63]. Our study findings revealed issues in the care process in rural areas, such as patients self-referring and bypassing the referral system hierarchy [64].
